Granger Statement on Leaked War Documents
WASHINGTON, D.C.-Congresswoman Kay Granger (R-TX) issued the following statement condemning the release of classified Afghanistan war documents:
“The leak of classified information critical to our efforts in Afghanistan is reprehensible. The information only provides aid to our enemies while risking more American lives. Those who protect classified information not only have a duty to their nation but to the men and women who serve on the front lines every day. In addition, it is ultimately the Administration’s responsibility to protect state secrets.
“I call on the Administration to thoroughly investigate and prosecute those individuals and organizations responsible for releasing this data and hold them accountable to the fullest extent of the law.”
