WASHINGTON – Top Appropriations Committee Republican Kay Granger (R-TX) released the following statement on the Administration's request for more funding for the Small Business Administration's Paycheck Protection Program.

"The impact of the coronavirus on our economy and our nation's small businesses has been undeniable. That is why Congress acted to provide much-needed relief to the backbone of our economy through things like the Paycheck Protection Program, which provides direct loans to our nation's small business owners so that they can continue paying their employees," said Granger.

"The overwhelming enrollment in the program's first few days alone makes it clear we must do more to help America's small business owners. I hope the Senate will move quickly on a bill to provide further relief to small businesses, and I look forward to working with my colleagues in the House to pass the measure swiftly and get it to the President’s desk without delay.”
