WASHINGTON – Rep. Kay Granger (R-TX), Republican Leader of the House Appropriations Committee, issued the following statement today regarding the continuing resolution through February 18, 2022.

“Democrats, who control the House, the Senate, and the White House, have failed to do their job once again. It’s unrealistic to expect Republicans to negotiate on appropriations bills while Democrats continue to push for huge domestic spending increases through their reconciliation package,” said Congresswoman Kay Granger.  “With our debt skyrocketing and inflation at the highest levels in thirty years, we cannot afford to think about appropriations bills in isolation. I do hope that in the new year we can make progress finalizing bills that include strong support for our National Defense, long-standing pro-life protections, and resources to address the ongoing crisis at the border.”
