FORT WORTH, TX – Today, Congresswoman Kay Granger (R-TX12), Top Republican on the House Appropriations Committee, provided the following statement regarding the Department of Transportation’s (DOT) plans to move forward with a Rule of Particular Applicability (RPA) for the Texas High Speed Rail Project, slated to connect Dallas and Houston:
WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today, Congresswoman Kay Granger (R-TX), Top Republican on the House Appropriations Committee, announced that the Department of Transportation (DOT) has awarded $200 million to the Fort Worth Transportation Authority for TEXRail, and $8.775 million to the North Central Texas Council of Governments (NCTCOG) and Texas DOT for a series of projects involving seven bridges in the Dallas-Fort Worth area.

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Rep. Kay Granger (R-Texas), today announced that the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) has awarded an Airport Improvement Program (AIP) grant to Fort Worth Alliance Airport. The award, which is for $5.5 million, will go to support a taxiway extension project needed after Amazon announced that it will open a regional air hub at the airport. The taxiway extension will provide Alliance the needed infrastructure to handle additional air traffic.
