Congresswoman Granger Recognized as a True Cowgirl of Fort Worth
Fort Worth, Texas – Congresswoman Kay Granger (R-Texas) was recognized Thursday evening as one of Fort Worth’s most powerful “Cowgirls” by the Friends of the Fort Worth Herd and the Friends of Cowtown Coliseum.
Granger was the guest of honor at the annual American Cowboy Gala held at the historic Stockyards in appreciation for her dedication to making Fort Worth a better place to live and work.
“This is a great honor,” Granger said. “There is a lot of things that make Fort Worth a wonderful place to live, but it’s our connection to our cowboy heritage that truly makes our community unique – and there’s no stronger example of that link than the Stockyards.”
The evening included a video tribute to Granger and her commitment to Fort Worth.
Each year the American Cowboy Gala is held in conjunction with the National Day of the American Cowboy as a fundraiser for the non-profits that support the Fort Worth Herd and Cowtown Coliseum.
