WASHINGTON – Top Appropriations Committee Republican Kay Granger (R-TX) released the following statement after the Department of Transportation (DOT) announced that Dallas-Fort Worth International Airport will receive $4,561,039 towards the rehabilitation of the airport taxiway.
“Airports are engines of economic growth, and the Dallas-Fort Worth International Airport—among the biggest and busiest airports in the world—has played a strong role in the booming growth enjoyed in our area. I’m pleased to see that Dallas-Fort Worth International Airport will receive over $4.5 million towards the rehabilitation of its taxiway, which will increase the airport’s overall efficiency and capacity.
“With hundreds of planes landing at DFW Airport every day, this improvement is a win for not just the metroplex, but the American aviation infrastructure overall.
“As the top Republican on the House Appropriations Committee, I will continue to work with President Trump, Governor Abbott, and local leaders to keep infrastructure in our state at the forefront of the national discussion.”
