“The U.S. military academies are outstanding institutions of higher learning that are seeking the best students from around the country,” Granger said. “As a former teacher, I know that intellectual ability, leadership skills, and character are vitally important traits.”
Any high school student who lives in the 12th Congressional District and who is in their junior year of high school is eligible to apply for a nomination. The 12th District includes the northeast and western portions of Tarrant County and all of Parker County.
Granger makes nominations to the U.S. Air Force Academy, the U.S. Naval Academy, the U.S. Military Academy at West Point, and the Merchant Marine Academy. Each academy makes the final selection.
