Washington - Congresswoman Kay Granger (TX-12) released the following statement after U.S. Senator Kay Bailey Hutchison announced that she will not seek another term in 2012:

“Texas has had no better advocate than my dear friend Kay Bailey Hutchison. She always fought for Texas first and she was outspoken in her representation of her constituents. From our work together on the Trinity River Vision to her countless accomplishments for military families and veterans in my district, she was a great ally to have in the United States Senate. The Senator made a tremendous mark on our state and she will be sorely missed.”
