Congresswoman Kay Granger (TX-12), the Chairwoman of the Defense Appropriations Subcommittee, issued the following statement on President Trump’s historic $15 billion rescissions package:

“As a senior appropriator, I understand more than most in Congress that this rescissions package is necessary. President Trump’s proposal rescinding $15 billion  – the largest rescissions package in history – is a welcome step to cut wasteful spending and restore good government to Washington. 

“We must always be careful stewards of the taxpayer’s hard-earned money. As a proud cosponsor of President Trump’s rescissions package, I look forward to working with my colleagues to pass this proposal as soon as possible.”
