The Thin Blue Line

May 31, 2019

Friends--

The "thin blue line" that protects us and our families must always be honored. None deserve our remembrance more than those who paid the ultimate sacrifice in service to our communities.

Each year in Washington D.C. the nation pays tribute with National Police Week and police from all over the nation come to the Capitol.

This year 80 officers from Fort Worth made this trip and it was special because these officers flew along with the family of fallen Fort Worth police Corporal Garrett Hull, who was killed in the line of duty last year. They came to Washington to honor his memory.

An avid outdoorsman, Garrett Hull served in the Fort Worth Police Department for 17 years in the Special Response Team, the Narcotics and Tactical Intelligence Division, and the FBI task Force. He was a devoted husband and proud father of two daughters.

These policemen and women travelled in a jet proudly displaying the Fort Worth police logo, the ride for all was donated by generous businessman Ross Perot, Jr.

Our community owes a debt of gratitude to these men and women who keep us safe

Sincerely,
