WASHINGTON – Top Appropriations Committee Republican Kay Granger (R-TX) released the following statement after President Donald Trump's Oval Office address on COVID-19. 

“President Trump has been the global leader from the beginning of the coronavirus outbreak that began in China last year. The bold measures the President announced tonight, including additional travel restrictions, are critical for an immediate and effective response to what has now been declared a pandemic," said Ranking Member Granger.

"I applaud the President’s common-sense actions to support our economy by ensuring that small businesses have the resources they need to keep their doors open and providing hard-working Americans important relief if they or their family members become infected and are unable to work."
