WASHINGTON –Rep. Kay Granger (R-TX), Republican Leader of the House Appropriations Committee, issued the following statement today regarding the continuing resolution.
“The party that controls the House, the Senate, and the White House decided to do exactly what we asked them not to do. They refused to include critical assistance to help our ally Israel defend itself against terrorist rocket attacks. Additionally, though the bill provides important support for our Afghan allies, it does not include sufficient safeguards to ensure that we do not allow terrorists or criminals to slip into our country,” said Congresswoman Kay Granger. “I hope we can address these issues and finish fiscal year 2022 appropriations bills in the coming months.”
