WASHINGTON, D.C. – Congresswoman Kay Granger (R-Texas), chairwoman of the House Defense Appropriations Subcommittee, on Tuesday issued the following statement on House passage of legislation to impose new sanctions on Russia, Iran, and North Korea:

“The legislation we passed today will increase economic and political pressure on Russia, the Islamic Republic of Iran, and North Korea. It sends a strong message to our adversaries that aggression against our interests will not be tolerated. I urge the Senate to take up and pass this important legislation quickly so that the president can sign it into law.”
